Types of Awards & Recognitions

Texas Blossoms is proud to have made a positive impact on the local community. By planting and maintaining beautiful blossoming trees, the nonprofit has returned nature and economic vitality to historically underserved communities. Over the years, Texas Blossoms has been recognized by elected officials and other environmental nonprofits as a source for good in the community.

U.S. Congresswoman Kay Granger, who has represented the 12th Congressional District of Texas since 1997, proudly supports Texas Blossoms and has previously written about the nonprofit in her community newsletter. When she's not in Washington, Congresswoman Granger spends her time connecting with constituents and learning about community initiatives.

To show our gratitude, Texas Blossoms helped create the Kay Granger Award for Outstanding Community Service, which is annually awarded to an exceptional volunteer or community member who has made a positive impact on Texas Blossoms and the local community.

Texas Blossoms has also been recognized by the Fort Worth Garden Club and was the 2019 recipient of the Mary Louise Michie Arboreal Award of Excellence. The award recognizes community organizations which plant and maintain trees.

Texas Blossoms is committed to serving the community. We are proud to have been recognized by local leaders and organizations for our work, and we are equally proud to have raised the visibility of local leaders through the Kay Granger Award.
